Notes:(R6E, T1N, Sec 36) An 840’ core of an extinct volcano, Beacon Rock, and the adjoining Beacon Rock State Park, is a popular attraction. Beacon Rock State Park is a 4,650-acre year-round camping park with historic significance dating back hundreds of years. The park includes 9,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Columbia River.
SAR: The numerous switchbacks on the Beacon Rock Trail makes stokes evacuation difficult and time consuming. There are adequate anchors to do a vertical ropes lowering from the north side of the top.
